- Description
- The generalised lambda distribution (gld) is a distributional family that allows a wide range of shapes within the one distributional form. The distribution was introduced by Ramberg & Schmeiser (1974), with a useful variation introduced by Freimer et al (1988) (whose parameterisation we use in this work). This talk presents work on the use of the gld to model response times. Of particular interest is our assessment of whether changes in conditions (particularly in difficulty of a response task) lead to a change in only location and scale, or whether there is a shape change as well (Heathcote et al, 1991).
